covid 19 Well Fed policies for meal service to childcare centers and elementary schools

*As provincial guidelines change and our services restart we will update accordingly


We want to make sure that we are providing you with our services all while ensuring everyone’s health and safety. We have taken the following extra precautions in addition to our normal food safe practices required of a commercial kitchen.

-All staff/staff returning to work will be informed and well trained on new COVID-19 protocol and policies.

-Any staff or participants who have the symptoms of a cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms, with any coughing or sneezing will NOT be able to work. Any employees who are sick are to stay home.

-Routine daily self symptom screening as well upon arrival to work for all staff. All screening logged daily.

-Social distancing of 2 meters on site for all staff on site as much as possible.

-Mandatory check in for any deliveries received at front desk.

-Enforced proper and frequent handwashing for all staff- upon arrival, before beginning work, after using restrooms, before and after food consumption.

-Enforced proper cough and sneeze technique for all employees, cover your mouth or nose with your sleeve.

-Increased cleaning/sanitization of all surfaces as well as increased daily and weekly cleaning protocol.

-High touch surfaces are cleaned/sanitized twice per day and cleaning records logged daily.

-We will be delivering to our meal service to childcares centers/elementary schools by non-contact delivery

-All staff must wear a clean non-medical face mask while working as of Sept 14th, 2020.

-All delivery drivers must wear a clean non-medical mask and sanitize their hands before and after delivery to childcare centers/schools.

-Delivery vehicle high touch surfaces are cleaned and sanitized twice per shift- before and after use.
