October’s Menu is finally here!

Anyone feeling cold and damp. I am.

We live in the most beautiful city in the world! or at least we think so.
Truth be told we experience some rather wet and rainy weather in the fall and winter.
Well let’s embrace the rain and curl up with some deliciously warm and comforting food.

October’s menu is a great mix of hearty stews, new ethnic dishes and some old classic favourites.

September Meal Assembly Menu!

Fall cooking homey, comforting and flavourful.

I have been patiently (actually impatiently) waiting to release some these Fall-inspired meals that rank as some of my ultimate favourites.

The menu has been inspired by seasonal produce such as butternut squash, sweet potatoes, and other good-for-you hearty root vegetables.

I have also thrown in a recipe that should whet your taste buds for Thanksgiving.
I know I have been drooling.

Augusts Meal Assembly Menu!!!

Well the summer heat is finally here! sadly we only have one month left before school starts again.

Our busy lives continue… Hence, this month I will be offering three classes to get you organized for the change in pace.

This month’s menu was inspired by my recent berry picking excursions and eating those delicious local raspberries and blueberries.

Fantastic Organic Farming Class!

Last weekend, we had a fabulous class. This was the second part of our Edible Gardening Series- Organic Farming.

Special thanks to Tanya from Brouwers Meats for making the trek from the Okanagan.

Great discussion on: the organic process, how farms are certified, consumer labelling, and why and how to start using more organic foods.

Lunch was wonderful, on the menu was:

 

Organic Spinach and Sunflower Salad with a Maple Lemon and Thyme Dressing

Roasted Organic Fennel, Red Peppers, Purple Beets, Grape Tomatoes, Red Onion and Feta

Organic NY Striploin (from Brouwers Meats)

Raspberry Lime Sorbet

For those who are interested and I know there are. I will be posting more information about Brouwers meats and how to purchase their beef.

Welcome!

We made it! We are finally opening the doors to the Well Fed Studio.

Here’s to the start of a new chapter – Well Fed! I have ideas that just do not quit and I have dreamt of owning my own business for years, so this is truly a dream come true and now the journey begins. I feel like I just won an Oscar. I want to send out a huge thank you to all that allowed me to pick your brain to get this going and thanks to the action oriented ones who enabled me to move forward when I was nervous. THANK YOU!

Food and people are my passion. I love how food links us all together, and fills us up… more than just our bellies. It is a commonality that we all share, we all need to eat.

I hope to inspire you with food, connect you with new and old friends and family and allow you to continue to enjoy, discover, grow and re-energize. All while eating great food and having fun of course! Sounds pretty good doesn’t it?

Our courses will take a fresh look at food and aim to interrelate with the stage in life you are in.  We also want to provide you with courses based on traditional skills and knowledge using simple and effective techniques. Our goal is to give you the tools and allow you to have more confidence and know how to be comfortable and accomplished in your own kitchen.

Life is busy I know and sometimes eating well can be forgotten or rushed. Our courses will help you regain your balance and energy. I want to leave you feeling Well Fed all over!

I am pumped, and can not wait to explore the endless and delicious world of food with you!
