Studio Re-opens- January’s Menu & Events

Hope that you are all enjoying a lovely peaceful and relaxing holiday.

Looking forward to a New Year at Well Fed for 2015!  Here is the new Menu for January and more fantastic kids cooking classes at the studio like Pro Day Kids Class on Jan 23d-“Classic French Cooking”.

What’s in store for January’s Menu.  This month we focused on health and well being, to get us all back on track from a little (lot) of indulgence over the holidays.

New take on our Classic Cottage Pie, with lean ground chicken and the addition nutrient dense Sweet Potato.  We have brought back flavourful favourites like Chicken Marbella and Maple Mustard Riesling Pork Tenderloin.

For my daughter (our picky eater) we added Asian Lettuce Roll Ups.  Kids love to pull together their own roll ups, giving them a sense of independence.  I like these because everyone our our house agrees with this dinner option:)

Appies and Art Event- Thurs Dec 4th -6:30- 9 pm
Wow this event is going to be awesome.  We will have three chefs demonstrating how to cook three fantastic appetizers for the holidays as well as wine!  The studio will have goods from local artists from jewelery, painting to great stocking stuffers and more!Chocolate Making Class- Adult and Child-Tues Dec 9th- 5:45-8 pm
New! Hands on instruction from Chef Martina Marshall straight from the famous Hot Chocolates-Chocolate Shop on Vancouver Island!

Can’t make to the class you can purchase one of Hot Chocolates, Milk Chocolate Houses that you decorate at home for only $25.00.  In my opinion way better than a gingerbread house it’s CHOCOLATE!  To order your chocolate house click here. You can pick these up at the studio either on Thurs Dec 4th or Tues Dec 9th from 5-9 pm.

Nut Mylk Class and Special Holiday Classes!
Well Fed is excited to be partnering with The Juicery Co. to offer you another class on how to make Nut Mylk straight from the experts, co-founders Christina McNeill and Alex Troll.
During the class you will learn the basics of soaking nuts, and the benefits of it.
Also, discussion on the materials needed to make nut mylk, and what kind of nuts to buy.
You will make three different nut mylk during the class, and take home your spoils!Tuesday Nov 18th from 6:30- 9 pm- Cost- $75.00

We are very excited to introduce a New Three Part Cooking Class Series here at Well Fed.
Our talented Pastry Chef Shaya Sy Rantfors will be teaching, Artisan Breads in Five Minutes a day, from the best selling cookbook by Jeff Hertzberg and Zoe Francois.  During the course you will take home your very own starter dough and make delicious breads like Quinoa Bread, Pumpkin Pie Brioche and delicious Gluten Free Breads. Yum!

You can either buy the class as a series or individually.

September’s Menu is Up!

Well is that time of year again sadly the summer is almost over and schedules begin.  So get back in routine and get organized ahead of time.  Make dinners a snap with healthy pre-made meals from Well Fed.

Looking to reconnect with friends that you have not seen in awhile?  Why not socialize with a glass of wine all while you make your dinners easier.  Book a Private Meal Assembly Class at our studio!  The host of the party receives a 10% discount off their order.  Or bring a new friend to an open class and receive a referral discount of $5.00 off your order.

We are excited to bring back our fall menu that highlights wonderful seasonal vegetables like Butternut Squash.  That is right we have brought back our famous Butternut Squash Lasagne! So stock up, we only bring back this delicious vegetarian lasagne once a year.

As well as lovely hearty dishes like our velvety Butter Chicken and Classic Cottage Pie.

Gearing up for back to school (not sure when this will happen here in BC, hopefully soon?).  We loaded the menu with family favourites and launched a New Chicken Burrito! easy to do for a entire meal or pull them out individually for lunches.

August Menu! & Summer Siesta

Hope everyone is enjoying summer!  Here at Well Fed we take a bit of a summer siesta and close our doors to recharge.  Not to worry it is only for a short bit and we are back on track starting August 18th with our meals to go and classes too!

Want to get ready for the busy fall ahead early, well you can definitely make dinner easier.

New Juicing Basics Class with The Juicery Co.- July 10th

Have you heard the buzz about The Juicery Co! We are so happy to be Neighbours with this fantastic new establishment. The Juicery Co is top notch quality all of their juice and nut mylk is cold pressed and organic. By working with a Nutritionist and Naturopath they have created nutrient dense juices that are delicious too. Guess what! Well Fed is partnering with Juicery Co. to offer a hands on juicing class from the experts cofounders Christina Mcneill and Alex Troll.

Date: July 10th
Time: 6:30-8 pm

What to expect from the Class:

• Basics on how to juice for your health- Learn how to prepare your vegetables/fruits to the best type of equipment to use, as well as the health benefits for specific juices.
• Prepare and Make three of their fabulous juices
1. Two Melons Juice
2. A.B.C. Juice
3. Greens One
• Each student will walk away with 1 bottle of each of the juices make in the class.

June’s Menu is Here! Fire Up the BBQ!
June’s Well Fed Menu is here!
It feels like summer is just around the corner, we have been so lucky to already have had such amazing weather.  Soon each weekend will be filled with trips to the island, camping or cabin.  I love summer!

Make your life easy and stock up your freezer with with delicious meals from Well Fed.  Take the stress out of meal planning. Now that you have the food looked after all you need to do is pack your bag.

On the menu this month…

We have highlighted a wonderfully aromatic herb this month “Rosemary”.  We have used rosemary in three flavourful meals this month: Maple Soy/Rosemary Wild Sockeye Salmon, Balsamic Rosemary Flank Steak and Healthy Cheesy Butternut Squash Casserole.

Fire up your grill we have included more meals perfect for the BBQ like: Beer Brined Pork Chops, Mediterranean Turkey Burgers and Lemony Chicken Souvlaki.

As well as family favourites like our yummy Rigatoni Sausage Bake and Chicken Parmesan.
