  • Well Fed’s Mother’s Day Special gives $15.00 off your class on Tuesday, May 13th.  Make dinner easy this month and come and enjoy a glass of wine at the studio with some friends and assemble your meals.

  • So what’s on the Menu this month?
  • Inspired by Food Revolution Day we had added in a great recipe, Mustard Chicken with Leeks, from none other than Jamie Oliver! (which we tweaked just a bit to make it healthier, sorry Jamie I hope you approve).  Jamie is dedicated to getting people to cook from scratch!  Like our meals.  Food Revolution Day is on May 16th.  To learn more about this great event and sign up and become apart of the Food Revolution, check their website in the above link.
  • What are we doing at Well Fed to be apart of Food Revolution Day?…if you haven’t heard we created a collaborative event with Ross Road Elementary.  Well Fed and Ross Road’s Environmental Club have planted spinach in their school garden and we will be using this spinach in a cooking class at Well Fed’s Studio.  We will be making none other that kid friendly Baked Spinach Ziti which also just happens to be on this months menu.  Learn more about our Food Revolution adventure.

Supporting Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Day! at Well Fed

Well Fed is excited to align with Ross Road Elementary’s Environmental Club to support the worldwide Food Revolution Day on May 16th 2014!  The main purpose is to get as many kids cooking from scratch as possible. What are we doing? A Gardening/Cooking Project.

The idea of our Food Revolution journey is to plant a crop that we will turn into a tasty dish that we get to eat. YEAH!

It all started yesterday with planting spinach seeds and seedlings in the school garden.  Mike Nassichuk from Moutainside Gardening, our gardening expert whom we call on at Well Fed, taught the kids the basics on how set up their garden and plant properly.  Check out some photos of our fun in the rain! The kids were keen on getting their hands dirty, no gloves here!
The next step is to look after these plants with lots of water and TLC.  We will keep you up to date on their progress.  All our efforts will culminate on May 16th “Food Revolution Day”, first with the harvesting, and then with a cooking class here at Well Fed using the freshly picked spinach in a dish.  Yum!

We hope to inspire you, your kids, and your school to grow your vegetables and cook from scratch on Food Revolution Day!  “Weed” love to here about your cooking adventure.  🙂

April’s Menu has Sprung

April’s Menu is here highlighting seasonal Asparagus in two fantastic recipes. Delicious Chicken Stuffed with Asparagus and Brie then wrapped with salty prosciutto as well as our Asparagus Portabello Lasagne Roll Ups with a decadent truffle cream sauce. Yum!
The sun has come out and the BBQ’s are dusted off so we also have included some great items to get on your grill like Lemon Grass Chicken Skewers and Bison Blue Cheese Burgers.

Make March Easy Order Meals from Well Fed

March Menu has arrived!

When planning March’s Menu we focused on meals that were either one pot wonders or something you can just throw in the oven.  Easy for your vacation away on the slopes or making get togethers with friends a snap.  Stocking your your freezer with pre-made Meals from Well Fed gives the same joy when someone else cleans your house.  Now dinner can be checked off the list.

So what’s on the menu for March?

Our delicious Traditional Meat Lasagne, Classic Cottage Pie (a favourite in our house), and our Vegetarian Three Bean Enchiladas.  Just pop these in the oven, and pour your self a glass of wine.  Dinner is ready when the buzzer goes off.

Or try some of our tasty Asian Dishes like: Thai Kang Ph Nang, Indian Lamb Curry, Grilled Vietnamese Beef and Vegetarian Channa Saag Paneer.  So flavourful and yummy.

As well as our handmade Crunchy Panko Crusted Fish Sticks.

February’s Menu is Here

February’s Menu has launched we have focused on meals that warm you up and are easy one pot wonders.  Even though we have been so lucky with mostly sunny skies there is still a chill in the air.  So cozy up this month with easy pre-made meals from us and be Well Fed.

Start you slow cookers up for menu items like:  Pulled Braised Beef, Decadent Chicken Mole with dark chocolate perfect for Valentines and a NEW delicious recipe Asian Short Ribs!  Not to worry if you do not own a slow cooker these recipes can be done in the oven in a heavy casserole dish with a lid too.

Need to balance the week with lighter options? Try our aromatic Thai Fish Curry and Vegetarian Options like:  Nutrient Filled African Peanut Stew, and Spinach Lasagna.

As well as Kid Favourites like our Chunky Seafood Chowder (this one in my house everyone agrees it is a 10 out 10) and our Homemade Chicken Tenders (made with hormone and antibiotic free chicken).

The New Studio is Open! Classes Resume with New Offerings and Incentives!

Yeah! Our Fantastic New Studio is NOW Open at 260 1st St East in North Vancouver. We are very happy to again be offering our full line up of Classes and Pick Ups.  We missed you! and we truly appreciate our customers so we wanted to celebrate with some incentives and new offerings.

To kick off the return of our Classes each attendant that participates in a meal assembly class or private in the month of January will receive a $15.00 voucher towards their next meal assembly class, pick up or delivery.

Good news the studio can now accommodate 12 people in our meal assembly classes! So if you are looking a hosting a private meal assembly we now offer even more incentive for the host.  The host receives 10 % off (value $23.80) when you book 6 attendants (our min number) and 20% off (value $47.60) for 12 attendants.  To book your very own private contact us at info@wellfedstudio.com or 604-971-4756.

We were listening. Well Fed now offers a 4 meal option for pick up and delivery! So if you do not have enough freezer space try our 4 meal option. *Our 4 meal option is only available for Pick Up or Delivery.

So what’s on the Menu for the month January.

Wonderful meals to warm up to from the rain like: our Winter Lamb Stew, Chicken Potato Curry, and Slow Cooker Pulled Buffalo Chicken.

We are working hard to provide you with variety and new recipes that we love, hope you do too. So straight from the Well Test Kitchen wonderful New Brazilian Chicken. Chicken Breasts seasoned with cumin, coriander, turmeric with a hint of cayenne. Then topped with a fragrant coconut/tomato sauce with garlic and ginger. YUM!

As well as easy throw in the oven entrees like our delicious Greek Shrimp and Orzo Casserole, Chicken Lasagne w Fresh Basil with a Tomato Cream Sauce we also updated one of our kid favourites our Baked Mac n’ Cheese now with nutritious Butternut Squash.

Happy Halloween! November’s Menu has arrived…

As a quick update on how the new location is going.  We do have a confirmed opening for late November… We wish it was sooner, but Rome wasn’t built in a day, it seems either is a commercial kitchen.   So Classes will resume shortly after this time.

Well Fed is happy to let you know we continue offering our delivery option for no charge to the North Shore until we open.  YEAH!

So what’s on the menu for November? More seasonal recipes and one NEW recipe inspired by none other than Jamie Oliver!  Love him.  The new recipe is a favourite that has been passed around the back of the house at Well Fed and it a favourite on everyone’s menu “Mustard Chicken with Leeks in a Light Cream/White Wine Sauce”.  YUMMY!

We also have brought back Vegetarian Pumpkin Pesto Roll Ups perfect timing for the season and Hearty Delicious Chicken Chiptole Chili with good for you sweet potatoes.

As well as family favourites like: Baked Sausage Rigatoni, Mexican Beef Fajitas and Honey Lime Chicken Thighs.

October’s Menu is Here! your Seasonal Favourites are back…

We are very excited to launch October’s new menu.  My favourite recipes are in the fall months with hearty stews, chilis and curries to warm you up from the rain… sadly it has started.

Well Fed will continue to offer our delivery option this month until the new location has been finalized.   Slowly but surely we will get there! We do not have a firm date yet but you will be the first to know.

This month we have put back on the menu three seasonal inspired dishes.  It’s back our famous Butternut Squash Lasagne.  Decadent layers of pesto cream sauce, layers of lasagne noodles and roasted Butternut Squash seasoned with sage, butter and garlic as well as our wonderful Pumpkin Shrimp Curry and Chicken Supreme stuffed with a traditional stuffing perfect for Thanksgiving.

We have also added a New Fantastic Grilled Pork Tenderloin recipe. Butterfield Pork Tenderloin grilled or baked with an amazing peanut/coconut and lime sauce. So good you have to try it!

As well as great family favourites like our Chicken Parmesan, Whole Wheat Lasagne Roll Ups and Healthy Turkey Chili.

Well Fed’s New Menu and back to routine!

Today is officially back to school…..at least for 2 hours here in North Vancouver… and to start it all off? a little of our sweet rain. Perfect.

Life is back to structure, schedule and overall busyness.

Our intent is to make your dinners easier, and most of all yummier.  So Well Fed’s new menu for the month brings back some homey goodness with our awesome Meat Lasagne, Classic Cottage Pie and one our Thai Favourites Kang Pha Nang.

As well as Chicken Tenders and Porcupine Meatballs for the kids!

We have also cooked up a new delicious recipe for this month that we know you will love; Tuscan Chicken Thighs in a mouth watering marinade of red wine, shallots, raisins, capers and more…yum!

So, if you do not know what is for dinner tonight, why not be Well Fed?

Well Fed’s Menu is Here for August!

It’s weird to think that there is only one month of summer left? Lucky for us the weather has been amazing to say the least.  When we designed this month’s menu we focused on entrees that would help you squeeze out as many weekends away or Beach/BBQ opportunities as possible.  We have also added a couple of items that we think are great meals for the busy fall ahead.

On the menu and fit for your next BBQ! our Blue Cheese Bison Burgers (back by popular demand), Grilled Vietnamese Beef and Beautiful Honey Pecan Wild Sockeye Salmon.

Also…Delicious Vegetarian options like: Channa Saag Paneer and Black Bean, Corn and Sweet Potato Quesadillas.

Then to get you ready for the fall easy freezer to oven options that whole family will devour such as our delectable Chicken Lasagna with Tomato Cream Sauce and Fresh Basil or Crunchy Panko Crusted Ocean Wise Tiplia Fillets.
